The purpose of the Human Resources Internship is to provide students the opportunity to observe and learn about the Human Resources function in a health care environment. Under supervision, the Human Resources Intern will provide day-to-day administrative and project support to MAPMG’s Human Resources Department. The Human Resources Intern will directly assist the Human Resources Department with a wide range of projects related to HR compliance, recruiting, onboarding/orientation and employee & physician benefits.
DUTIES • Work on-site at the MAPMG Regional office for 40 hours/week • Collaborate with MAPMG's HR Consultants, Recruiting Managers, HR Operations and Physician and Employee Benefits teams on various initiatives • May provide clerical and operational support to members of the HR, Recruitment and Benefit teams • May update various HR databases depending upon project or initiative • May generate required reports in Excel or Word • May assist with onboarding and orientation tasks • May conduct audits of HR files and databases • Researching and collecting data for various HR initiatives • Maintain confidentiality of employee records, information, and departmental activities involving employee information, business policies, and operational plans • Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS • Current or recent enrollment in a graduate or undergraduate degree program with an interest and aptitude to work in the field of Human Resources • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Excellent verbal, and written communications skills • Excellent organizational skills • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously in a fast paced environment • Highly motivated and self-directed with strong time management skills • Legally eligible to work in the U.S. without a sponsorship requirement
